Lawyer Marketing Three Huge Seo Factors

Hey guys what’s up?  Brian Longley here from OnFirstMedia. We hope you’re having a fantastic day. Today I want to cover three essential ranking factors for attorneys. These are factors that Google looks that as very important as they carry a lot of weight with Google and if you get these right, you can rank well.

There Are Many Factors Google Looks At To Rank

Now understand there are almost 300 things Google takes into account in order to rank a website. A lot of these items are continually changing as Google tries to provide a service to their customers of helping them have the best user experience possible. Now there’s always a lot of rumor and gossip about which factors are important, And today we’re going to cover the three big ones for attorneys.

What Is Vital To Google

Now when we look at what is vital to Google, there are ones that stand out that will likely always be important. For the same reason why McDonald’s does not change their core products on its menu, Google always keeps certain factors as its primary factors in their algorithm. Here is why this is the case.

The Basics Will Never Change

Imagine for a minute if McDonald’s went ahead and changed their menu out and replaced their number one selling item which happens to be the Big Mac for something obscure it could dramatically change their bottom line. Actually, the chairman of the board would probably fall out of their chair because of the risk it could do to the profits. The same thing with Google oh, some elements are just too risky to remove because it would dramatically impact user experience and also their bottom line. These factors are just simply too dangerous to change.

The Most Important Variables

The first important variable is the title tag. The title tag is used to help Google understand what a page is about when they send the robot to crawl the web page. The title tag is the tag you’ll see at the top of your browser, and it should say something that specific and very relevant to the topic that you’re about to discuss.

The second important variable is the URL. The URL also describes what is on the page. Once you set the URL and post it, the URL will be reasonably permanent meaning you’re not going to change it from one day to the next continually. Therefore Google gives it some Authority and some weight.

The third element big cherries quite a bit of weight especially for the long term is the anchor text pointing back to your website. Now when you have an Authority website talking about your site, and they link to you, there’ll be some anchor text. This anchor text is not easy to manipulate, and therefore Google gives it a lot of weight in their algorithm. After all, it’s about popularity. So if many websites are saying good things about you in Google’s eyes, this must mean you’re very popular. If authority figures are speaking highly of you, this will also increase your trustworthiness and therefore impact your rankings by moving higher in the rankings.

We hope this helps you understand the three main variables that have been in place for the ten plus years we’ve been in the industry and it will likely continue to be for many more years to come. When you make these changes to your website you will get positive results.
